NEBO Cryket Compact LED Flashlight | Official Product
We built the Cryket for people who need reliable light without bulk. At just 3.25 inches long, this rechargeable flashlight delivers 250 lumens of bright white output — enough to illuminate a room, a trail, or under-hood repairs. The aircraft-grade aluminum body houses a USB-C rechargeable battery that powers up to 2 hours of runtime on high mode.

The Cryket ships with a built-in lithium-ion battery that recharges via the included USB-C cable. No hunting for disposable CR123 or AAA cells — plug the light into any USB port and a red indicator LED shows charging status, turning green when the battery reaches full capacity. A full charge takes roughly 90 minutes and delivers two hours of continuous high-mode output.

Magnetic base for hands-free use
The Cryket’s rear cap houses a strong neodymium magnet that grips steel, iron, and most ferrous metal surfaces. Stick the light under a vehicle frame while changing a tire, attach it to a toolbox lid during close-up work, or mount it on a metal cabinet door when both hands are occupied. The magnet holds the full weight of the flashlight at any angle — vertical, horizontal, or inverted.
Pocket clip and portability
A removable stainless steel clip slides over the light’s body near the tail. The two-way clip allows bezel-up or bezel-down carry, so you can orient the Cryket however it best fits your pocket, belt, or cap brim. The clip’s spring tension keeps the light secure without tearing fabric, and it removes completely if you prefer clipless carry in a bag or glove compartment.

Durability and weather resistance
We machine the Cryket’s body from aircraft-grade aluminum alloy and apply a Type III hard-anodized finish that resists scratches, corrosion, and daily wear. Drop it on concrete, toss it in a toolbox with wrenches, or let it rattle around a center console — the anodizing protects the metal underneath. The single push-button switch is sealed against moisture, and the entire assembly carries an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
The LED emitter sits behind a polycarbonate lens that won’t shatter on impact. Internal components are shock-mounted to survive the vibration and knocks that come with pocket carry. We test every Cryket to 1-meter impact resistance, which means it survives waist-high drops onto hard surfaces without failure. For anyone weighing compact light options, the Cryket’s construction exceeds the typical demands of daily carry.

Common questions about the Cryket
The Cryket delivers 2 hours of continuous runtime on high mode at 250 lumens, or 6 hours on low mode at 30 lumens. Actual runtime varies slightly with temperature and battery age. The USB-C charging system fully recharges the internal lithium-ion cell in approximately 90 minutes from empty. A red LED indicator on the tail switch shows charging status and turns green when complete.
The Cryket carries an IP54 rating, which means it resists dust ingress and protects against water splashes from any direction. You can use it in rain, wipe it down under a faucet, or handle it with wet hands without damage. It is not submersible — do not intentionally submerge the light in water or use it for diving or underwater tasks.
The internal lithium-ion battery is not user-replaceable by design. The sealed construction contributes to the light’s water resistance and compact profile. Under normal use the battery retains 80% capacity after approximately 500 charge cycles. If you need battery service after the warranty period, contact NEBO customer support for options.
The neodymium magnet in the Cryket’s tail cap holds approximately 3 pounds of pull force on smooth ferrous metal. It grips steel tool chests, vehicle frames, appliance surfaces, and metal studs securely at any angle. The magnet will not attach to aluminum, stainless steel (non-magnetic grades), copper, or plastic surfaces. On painted or powder-coated metal the hold is slightly weaker but still sufficient for hands-free positioning.
Every Cryket includes NEBO’s limited lifetime warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The warranty does not cover normal wear, battery degradation over time, damage from misuse, or cosmetic issues like scratches. Register your flashlight within 30 days of purchase on the NEBO website to activate full warranty coverage and receive product updates.
The Cryket’s maximum beam distance is 70 meters on high mode. This measurement represents the point at which the center of the beam reaches 0.25 lux — roughly equivalent to the light of a full moon. At closer ranges the concentrated spot provides much brighter illumination for detail work, navigation, or inspecting objects within 20 meters.
No, the Cryket cannot operate while plugged into USB-C power. The light automatically turns off when you connect the charging cable, and the button will not activate the LED until you disconnect power. This design protects the battery management circuit and prevents overheating. Plan to charge the light between uses rather than during active tasks.
