NEBO Lil Larry LED Pocket Work Light | Compact & Hands-Free
We designed the NEBO Lil Larry flashlight to fit in your pocket and work anywhere you do. This compact LED work light delivers 250 lumens from its primary C•O•B LED panel, plus a top-mounted flashlight beam for distance lighting. The 180-degree rotating magnetic clip lets you mount Lil Larry on metal surfaces, clip it to your belt or pocket, or hang it hands-free while you work.

The Lil Larry uses two separate LED systems to cover different lighting needs. The primary C•O•B (chip-on-board) LED panel spans the length of the body and floods your work area with even, shadow-free light. This panel is what makes the Lil Larry a true work light rather than just a flashlight.

Hands-free mounting and positioning
We built the Lil Larry around a 180-degree rotating clip with an embedded magnet. The clip rotates freely so you can aim the light exactly where you need it, then the magnet holds it in place on any steel surface. We’ve seen mechanics mount it inside engine bays, electricians stick it to breaker panels, and HVAC techs attach it to ductwork while routing wire.
The clip also functions as a standard pocket clip or belt clip when you’re carrying the light. The rotation mechanism is tight enough to stay where you position it but smooth enough to adjust one-handed. If you work in spaces where you can’t always hold a flashlight, the magnetic clip becomes the most-used feature on the Lil Larry.

Battery life and power management
The Lil Larry ships with three AAA batteries installed and ready to use. On high mode with the work light panel, you’ll get approximately 3 hours of runtime. Low mode stretches that to 5.5 hours. The spot beam alone runs slightly longer since it draws less current than the full C•O•B panel.
We chose AAA batteries for the Lil Larry because they’re universally available and easy to swap in the field. Keep a spare set in your toolbox or glove box and you’ll never be caught without light. The battery compartment opens with a quarter-turn cap on the tail end.

Common questions about the Lil Larry flashlight
The Lil Larry’s 250-lumen C•O•B LED work light panel produces a wider, more even flood of light than most pocket flashlights, which typically focus their lumens into a narrow beam. For close-range work, the Lil Larry’s flood pattern actually illuminates more usable area than a 300-lumen spot beam flashlight would. The top-mounted spot beam gives you both options in one compact light.
Yes, the Lil Larry has a flat magnetic base that allows it to stand upright on any flat surface. The magnet adds stability on metal surfaces, but the light will stand on wood, plastic, or concrete as well. The clip rotates out of the way when you want to use it as a standing light.
The Lil Larry runs on AAA batteries and outputs 250 lumens, while the Big Larry is larger, rechargeable, and produces 500 lumens. The Lil Larry is more portable and doesn’t require charging cables, making it better for everyday carry. The Big Larry is better for professionals who use a work light all day and want maximum brightness and rechargeable convenience.
The magnet is a permanent rare-earth type that doesn’t lose strength over time. As long as you’re attaching the Lil Larry to a ferrous metal surface (steel, iron), it will hold indefinitely. The clip rotation is mechanical and separate from the magnet, so you can adjust the angle without weakening the magnetic hold.
The Lil Larry has an IP54 rating, which means it’s protected against dust and water splashes from any direction. It will handle rain, wet conditions, and dusty jobsites without issue. It’s not designed for submersion, so don’t drop it in a puddle or use it underwater, but normal outdoor weather won’t damage it.
The LED panel is rated for over 100,000 hours of use, which would take more than 11 years of continuous operation. In practical terms, the LED will outlast the body of the light. NEBO doesn’t offer user-replaceable LED modules because the C•O•B panel is integrated into the circuit board during manufacturing.
Yes, the Lil Larry works perfectly with NiMH rechargeable AAA batteries. We recommend using quality rechargeable cells like Eneloop or Amazon Basics rechargeables. Keep in mind that rechargeable AAAs typically provide 1.2 volts instead of the 1.5 volts from alkaline batteries, which may result in slightly lower brightness and shorter runtime, but the difference is minimal in real-world use.
