NEBO Magnetic Base Rechargeable Work Light
Our magnetic base rechargeable work light delivers hands-free illumination exactly where you need it. The 360° rotating magnetic base locks onto any ferrous metal surface—vehicle hoods, toolboxes, metal framing—letting you aim the 500-lumen LED beam while keeping both hands on the job. We built this work light around a lithium-ion rechargeable battery that runs 4 hours on high and 12 hours on low, with USB-C fast charging that takes you from zero to full in 2.5 hours.

The 360° rotating magnetic base uses neodymium magnets that generate 15 pounds of holding force against smooth ferrous metal. You can attach the light to vehicle fender wells, steel I-beams, metal cabinet sides, or any painted or unpainted iron surface. Once mounted, rotate the head through a full circle to direct the beam at your workpiece without repositioning the base.

Rechargeable battery and runtime performance
We use a 2600mAh lithium-ion cell that delivers predictable runtime across the three output modes. High mode outputs 500 lumens and runs 4 hours before the low-battery indicator flashes. Medium mode steps down to 250 lumens for 8 hours of runtime. Low mode at 100 lumens stretches to 12 hours, ideal for overnight job site security lighting or extended tasks that don’t require full brightness.
The USB-C charging port sits behind a protective rubber flap on the tail cap. Connect any USB-C cable to a 5V/2A power source, and the integrated charge controller brings the battery from empty to full in 2.5 hours. A tri-color LED beside the port shows red while charging and green when complete. The battery retains 80% capacity after 500 charge cycles, matching the longevity you’d expect from our rechargeable flashlight lineup.

Light output modes and beam pattern
High mode
High mode delivers 500 lumens in a flood pattern with 120° beam angle. This mode suits close-range tasks—wiring harness inspection, fastener identification, cabinet interior work—where you need even coverage across a 3-foot radius. Color temperature is 6000K daylight white, rendering wire colors and component markings accurately.
Medium and low modes
Medium mode halves the output to 250 lumens, extending runtime to 8 hours while still providing enough light for most repair and assembly tasks. Low mode at 100 lumens is our go-to setting for long shifts where ambient light supplements the work light, or when you need all-night visibility without frequent recharging. Strobe mode flashes at 10 Hz for emergency signaling.

Common questions about the NEBO magnetic work light
The magnetic base generates 15 pounds of holding force against smooth ferrous metal surfaces. It grips steel, iron, and magnetic alloys—including painted or powder-coated finishes—without slipping during normal use. The magnet will not adhere to aluminum, stainless steel, or non-ferrous metals.
Yes, the work light operates normally while connected to a USB-C power source. You can use it as a stationary task light on high mode indefinitely when plugged in. The charge controller manages power delivery so the battery charges simultaneously without overheating.
The magnet adheres to carbon steel, cast iron, tool steel, and other ferrous alloys. It works on vehicle body panels, metal tool chests, I-beams, appliance housings, and metal framing. It will not stick to aluminum, brass, copper, stainless steel grades 304 or 316, fiberglass, wood, or plastic.
Press the power button once to turn on high mode. Press again to cycle to medium, then low, then strobe. Press and hold for 1 second to turn off from any mode. The light remembers the last mode used and powers on to that setting next time.
The light carries an IP54 rating, which means it’s dust-resistant and splash-proof. It withstands rain, sprayed water from any direction, and damp environments. It is not submersible—do not immerse the light in water or use it underwater.
It uses an internal 2600mAh lithium-ion rechargeable cell. The battery is not user-replaceable. It delivers 500 charge cycles to 80% capacity and recharges via USB-C in 2.5 hours. There is no option to swap in disposable batteries.
Yes, the magnetic base holds securely in any orientation—upside down, sideways, or at an angle—as long as the surface is ferrous metal and the contact area is clean. The 360° rotating head lets you aim the beam regardless of how the base is mounted.
